Pictures of weapon Caches
I know this isn't related to S.F., but this was a good find from Chesters Site. Many pictures you will not find anywhere.

Quickie
…This is from the Cal patriot. A concise listing of inconsistencies as I have ever seen:
Writer Andro Hsu claims, “…the GOP is a Frankenstein’s monster, a motley assemblage of fundamentally incompatible ideologies.” Here is what’s really incompatible: Supporting universal human rights, but criticizing a leader for deposing a major human rights violator; supporting the death of the unborn, but rejecting the execution of violent criminals; wanting big government to provide for every aspect of one’s life, but opposing a government that looks to protects its citizens; opposing racism unless it is used as an advantage in college admissions or job opportunities; supporting civil liberties except for those under the second amendment...

Ok this just about says it all about how SF is out of touch.
In our hometown paper are 2 journalists call Matier and Ross. These guys actually come up with some interesting things, and get past the PC junk of the City.
Well today I had to dig but found this article about Assemblyman Leno pushing Already for a new Marriage Amendment.
quote:
'Leno, who is gay, is calling for the state to change its definition of marriage from a contract "between a man and a woman'' to a contract "between two persons." '
Well at least they are holding off on polygamy for the time being. Not sure about their definition of "person" yet.
Developing... (Sorry could not resist)
Undaunted Leno revs up marriage issue

Maybe they are starting to get it here...
A quick editorial today from our main leftie paper, The Chronicle. It only took them 5 days, but as well know most of the arguments made are emotional, so I guess it takes a while for them to cool off after losing:
Oh wait a minute, this was an open forum from an outsider. I guess they just do not have anyone left on the paper from a more moederate view on staff.
Moderate View?

Welcome
Welcome to the new blog, dedicated to the Horserace blog [http://jaycost.blogspot.com/ ] which started it all for me. The best Blog there was during the polls, read his final commentary :)
As the title suggests, I am a San Francisco Conservative, an oxymoron if there ever was one. I even live near the Haight area, so I am truly in "the belly of the beast", so to speak.
Anyway, I plan on entertaining certain political discourse from my perspective. With all of the this post-election talk of us "ignorant" bunches, I thought an insiders view of Baghdad by the Bay would be useful to someone is some perverse way.
I have but one link for this post, but I think think summarizes the 17% who admitted to being liberal. It also demonstrate the ultra left inability to be be introspective of themselves. But what is new? I see it daily.

Jane Smiley is amazing... amazingly self delusional.
